GLAD WRAP ~ no name - GR & fire -red earth Australia
So the two polishes I used are randoms, I have never heard of the brands and only have one polish of that brand. I wanted to try and do a glad wrap mani and couldn't decide what polishes/colours I was going to use so I settled with two of my randoms (mainly because I never wear these so if I fail its no loss).
I started with the base coat of the yellow polish , no name- GB (there is a story behind this one you can read it at the end of the post its a bit silly)I know it is a cheap $2 shop polish the formula was odd it was runny but thick on the brush it only took one coat to get a good coverage. I didn't actually use glad wrap I used the plastic that my family get the newspaper in but it still looks the same ( i think). The red, fire - red earth Australia, polish was one I've had for years don't know how I got it, but it was very thin and very runny I think if you were to paint your nails with the red it would like take 5 coats. So the red doesn't look as red as I wonted it to look, looks a bit apricoty to me. I like the idea of glade wrap manis, I'm thinking a glitter or halo with a cream or matte on top would look awesome.
The story of the yellow nail polish:
ok if you get lost don't worry, So Im a Girl Guide(now a leader) and me and a friend were heading down to Victoria (by plane)for a camp. we had to wait 2hrs in a airport for our flight, anyway as my friend and I got bored we asked if we could go for a walk. As we were walking around we were talking about what yellow (our colour for our sub camp) "things' we had bought with us to camp and both thought that we hadn't bought much. Then we walked past some nail polish and we don't know why we bought yellow polish similar to this one. We got back and they all thought we were crazy and silly, because who wears/takes makeup to camp. yeah its not that interesting story really I think its a 'had to be there' thing but it became an inside joke and for my 18th she bought me this polish because i said she could keep the original as I would never wear yellow.
